The university offered her master's in theatre, and also double-majored in sociology and psychology. Contractor was a participant in the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After an entire year, she was given the lead part. After 92 performances, she received praise from the audience. This play was named one of the most successful productions by Canadian reviewers. The opportunity was presented to her to join Stratford Conservatory. It accepts only eight men and four woman for a crash course in traditional theatre. Contractor eagerly accepted. Contractor was guaranteed a spot in the next season of shows and eventually landed the part of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
